Over 11 million Filipinos work around the
world, with over 4 million working in the
United States of which more than 700,000
Filipinos are serving in the Health Care
Industry. The Philippines is the largest supplier
of foreign trained Nurses augmenting the Nurse
shortage in the U.S. Filipino Doctors, Physical
Therapists, Nurses and Caregivers have become
synonymous with wellness as exemplified by
Doctor Eleanor “Connie” Mariano, who was the
first Filipino American woman to be promoted
to Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy and the first
Woman to become Physician to the President,
serving three Administrations.
